Nasir, Philly: Are you working with Tyrus this summer? What skills of his will you focus on? We need to turn him into a star.

SportsNation David Thorpe: (2:21 PM ET ) He'll be down here this summer. The focus for him will be learning the game from the inside out

Sounds like Ty is going to be more dedicated this summer about working on his game. If you don't know who David Thorpe is, he is the head of IMG Academies and is an NBA and college trainer. His most notable player (recently) that has turned out into something special is Kevin Martin who spent a couple of summers down with him. He's also worked with other guys such as Al Harrington and Chris Bosh.

AWESOME! Harrington and Bosh are both PF's who play a lot of post-up ball, get tons of points down low, and don't rely heavily on jumpers. Tyrus will be set!

I hope he takes his training serious. If he is maturing and really wants to improve, he could become a stud. I see Josh Howard/Gerald Wallace with more athleticism in the next couple of years if he can improve his dribbles. I just don't see him becoming a true post up player. He'll likely always rely on his speed down low to make quick spins to get dunks. Maybe like a Kenyon Martin. It's not likely that he will become a finess post player like KG or Tim Duncan. But you never know. This is a great step for his game.
