QUOTE
Maybe the best move is to deal the pick and get three from New Jersey (10, 21, 40), rebuilding the team and finding a star in a trade, but that kind of radical thinking doesn't seem possible given Paxson's deliberate nature.

Maybe he thinks the NBA is switching to 52 man rosters?

1. We need to consolidate the roster. Not create any more traffic jams at every position!
2. Later 1st round draft picks do not have the same value as the NFL. More times than not 2nd round draft picks do not even make the team.

I don't know what's worse, attempting to insult Paxson inside that idiotic quote or that he actually gets PAID to write this.

Normally, something like this probably would not merit it's own thread, but it's too quiet here.

Chicago Bulls Franchise
That is the funniest most idiotic thing I've ever read!

You know the scary thing? Even if you're using the standard NFL draft value chart, and not taking in to account the fact that there are fewer NBA players than NFL players and therefore the highest level pick is more important...the Bulls would still be giving up more with the #1 pick than they'd be getting back.

Awesome! Then we could take Darrell Arthur, Chris Douglas-Roberts, and Ty Lawson with those 3 picks. Our team would be loaded with potential!

Yeah, what a terrible idea. The idea is to get rid of the logjam, not worsen the current one. And why the hell would you pass up either of the 2 most sure things in this draft for 3 guys that wouldn't even start next year anyway. This is video game-esque.
