Full Version: Is signing Bosh realistic?

It looks like the only way to get Bosh is via sign and trade. The only assets we have to get a sign and trade done are Deng, Rose and Noah. Toronto is on record saying they do not want Deng and it is clear Rose and Noah are going nowhere. Under these circumstances, it looks like Bosh signing with the Bulls is unlikely. I think we need to put our eggs in the Lebron basket as a first option. If not Lebron, then we need to go after Boozer and some shooters.
Chicago Bulls Franchise
Unless they like Gibson, Johnson, Asik plus picks it's not likely.

Too many moving parts at this point to really answer that question. I wouldn't be surprised for Bosh to tell Toronto either trade me to the Bulls/Heat for whatever they give you or I'll leave for nothing.

Frickin' pop quiz, Bryan Colangelo.

The Raps know they can't let Bosh walk and end up empty handed...if they did they may very well be the worst team in basketball next year. They're still looking to deal Turkaglu and Deng will help make that happen. I will not give up the idea that Deng, Taj and the Bobcats 1st Rounder next year is better than ANYTHING New York or Miami can offer the Raps and Colangelo knows it.

Don't discount the Clippers in a potential three team deal where they could end up with Lou as well. I could see the Clips getting Lou while sending D'Andre Jordan/Aminu to the Raps with Taj and the Bobcats 1st Rounder next year. A deal like that could be the most appealing of all to the Raps.

I will say that the Bulls CAN NOT work out a sign and trade with the Raps for Bosh until they hear from Bron first. Bron will want to be the highest paid player on his team and the Bulls would certainly want to work out a sign and trade with the Cavs if LBJ forces their hand in doing so.

If the Bulls landed Bron in a sign and trade....Bosh would run to Chicago for the less max while forgetting what city the Raptors played in IMO.

I still seriously doubt this is the case.

If I can dump Deng's salary and add Bosh without subtracting Noah and Rose, I do so in a heartbeat, and I don't care about waiting on Lebron.

Agreed. You have to consider that Miami is going to be trying harder to sign bosh than Lebron

Bulls met with Bosh shortly after midnight and now he is in Chicago and will meet with them AGAIN.

If Chris Bosh is really set on a sign and trade, he may just be staying in Toronto. They have made it clear that they want no part of Beasley and Chalmers, nor Luol Deng. So what is left? Bosh is either going to have to sign outright or stay in Toronto. Meanwhile, we need to get rid of James Johnson to free up more cap space for Bosh to give him a little more money.

why the F would Chris Bosh even care about a sign and trade. Not his problem.

There are about 30 million reasons why...

Toronto wants a $16 million trade exception and a 1st round pick for Bosh.
