The NBA is over for the next 5 years. Maybe they won't win next year but when they have the MLE every year, they can fill out that roster and all I can say is, good luck. This is a joke and Lebron has to cheat to his way to championships by piggybacking off of Bosh and Wade who are 2 of the top 10 players in the league, not to mention Lebron who's either #1 or #2 depending on if you have Kobe in front of him. I'm devastated that he had to ruin the league like this after deliberately saying that he wanted to do what was best for the league. right... These 3 knew they were going to play with each other this whole time, Wade and Bosh were both just toying with us the whole time and they did a good job of doing it. As far as I'm concerned Lebron will never again be in the discussion for GOAT. If the Bulls are going to contend with this team it's next year because after that, like I said, they will just be way to superior for anybody in the league to contend with once they start signing guys for the MLE.

Did any of you see Noah's comments on Sportscenter? I love Noah. Noah hates James. He talked about how it's going to be hollywood down there but how the Bulls have a team that can compete. He looked hungry. I love our new twin tower combo. They are one of the best big man combo's we've ever had and they'll be grabbing all the boards.

We just need to add a few 3 point shooters and a backup PG and we are set.

Maybe we can sign Miller, Brewer, & JJ (though I think he'll stay in Orlando) or maybe we can absorb a nice player from another team willing to dump salary. Is Monta Ellis still available? We just need to be smart and not lock into overpaying a marginal talent. If Miller costs big money then we need to let him go. But if we can get him for $8M per season I think we need to jump on that.

Tom Thibodeau

Noah/Asik
Boozer/Taj
Deng/Johnson
Miller/Brewer
Rose/JJ

That lineup is a good blend of talent and Brewer is a good defender come playoff time. Tom Thibodeau will make sure we play tough D and we'll have the post game and 3 point shooting to put Rose in a position push the team deep into the playoffs and possibly past the Heat.

BTW, I hope Deng is working on his 3 point shot this year. If he can develop that this summer he'll come through in a huge way for the Bulls.

I don't agree with you. I agree that they won't win next year but I don't think one MLE player makes that big of a difference. The Bulls are going to have opportunities to get better come the trade deadline when teams are looking to unload salary if they can keep some of their cap space.

Players that could be available
Carmelo
Jason Richardson
Monta Ellis
A.I.2, Young, or Williams (Somebody on the 76ers roster will be up for grabs. Probably A.I.2. They think Turner is the future but he's not)

Imagine a lineup of

Noah
Boozer
Deng
Richardson or A.I.2
Rose

That's a pretty nice lineup. And it could be a possibility (just likely not before the trade deadline)

Mike Miller appears to have signed with the Heat. WHATS NEW?! The Heat get everybody, this is a freaking joke. They supposedly are getting Shaq again to sign for the minimum.

QUOTE
Mitchell native Mike Miller intends to sign a five-year, $30 million deal with the Miami Heat, sources told KSFY late Thursday night.

Earlier in the night, LeBron James announced his intention to sign with Miami, joining Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade with the Heat.

Miller spent last season with the Washington Wizards.

Seriously, who can win against this?

PG Lebron
SG Wade
SF Miller
PF Bosh
C Shaq

What in the hell did such a spiffy sports town like Miami do to deserve this? Unbelievable.

screw it. lets counter and get melo right now!

That's a pretty scary lineup, however- it'll take more time to mesh than people think.

I still think Orlando is the team to beat in the East as of right now. With Miller being Miami's other big sign at 6 mil/year...they don't have any money left to offer anyone else more than the minimum. If they pick Shaq to help round out their roster and rely on a lot of minutes from him...that would be a disaster for them.

Don't get me wrong- if I had to pick a team to own/coach in the entire league I'd obviously take the Heat, but don't kid yourself...they're beatable.

well this just proves that lebron is the big d-bag that i've said for all these years. and i agree that he will never be the GOAT after this. lebrons still a choker, and wade's knees are getting worse every year

the heat will sell out - and be booed in - every nba arena this season. especially the teams these a-holes led on for the past couple weeks
Chicago Bulls Franchise
Maybe Wade's shoulder will blow out again. Seriously, the more I think about it the more dominant I think this team will be. I hope Wade gets old fast so instead of 5 years of dominance it'll be more like 3. They are going to become the showtime Lakers with Lebron being Magic Johnson and Wade being the #1 scorer. And It's just a given that sometime during this season Pat Riley will come down and coach the team. You know he will. Just like he moved SVG out of the way just as they were about to become a contender so he could sneak in and steal a ring from him. He's a coward just like Lebron is.
DutheDoduhon21
is there any way the nuggets would trade melo? he would fit perfect on our team.

A couple things i saw on espn this afternoon:

-The heat may be screwed big time depending on the new CBA.

-The reason lebron rejected the bulls was because JR, Garpax and co. told lebron that they weren't gonna be giving him (and his gang) the kind of treatment that they got in cleveland. they told lebron "we didnt do it for MJ and were not doing it for you". an alright reason in my book

with the abuse he's taken with the heat the last couple years, he may not have shoulders or knees in 3 years

Would love him but not going to happen. He's NY bound if he doesn't resign. Of course, that's what we said about Lebron and we all know how that turned out..

any changes to the cap rules that would make it impossible for the heat to have those three and put anyone decent around them

Thanks for sharing. They could have made it easier on everyone and shared this plan earlier so teams didn't waste resources on each of these turds.

sorry to keep posting lebron stuff, but this was in the AP article about Mike Miller signing:

QUOTE
Mike Miller had talks with LeBron James during the NBA finals about free agency, and the reigning two-time MVP had a simple message for one of the league's best shooters.

"Sit tight," James told Miller.

The only question I have remaining is whether or not James deliberately threw games 5 and 6 against the Celtics.

I think he did.
Sanitarium
I think so too. He obviously knew he was leaving months if not years ago, so he probably thought by flopping in the playoffs it would be more accepted if he left.

But when the whole team runs through you its a little hard to disappear and not get noticed. And then he had to ruin EVERYTHING with the tv special. His brand is cooked

But when it was all over he was still the leader of the lakers... if lebron gets popular again he's going to be second fiddle on the most hated team in basketball

OTOH, he could put up a full season triple double average this year and win 4 rings in the next 5 years.

another great article on the whole story

with this great quote:

QUOTE
For everything the Bulls tried to sell – from owner Jerry Reinsdorf to GM Gar Forman to coach Tom Thibodeau – there had been one thing that troubled James’ about the Bulls pitch: Derrick Rose never called and tried to recruit him.

Chicago officials never directly requested Rose to reach out with a call, and the young point guard felt James could’ve always reached out to him had he wanted to discuss the possibility of playing together. James needed to be courted, needed to be wooed and apparently it surprised him there was a star who wasn’t falling over himself to do that.

cant fault Drose for not wanting to slurp lebron's jock

I commend Rose on his approach to FA. By him lobbying for LeBron or others...that would be like him saying he'd rather have them instead of Lou. He stayed true to his current teammates in this process as a true leader would do. The Bulls will be a tighter group moving forward due to Rose's actions or lack thereof.

I call BS on this story. Rose already has come out an said numerous times that he has reached out to Lebron via texting/phone calls. So unless he's a liar, I don't give much credence to this story.
