According to security personnel, Harris and Miami Heat forward Alonzo Mourning began exchanging words. Harris reportedly asked Mourning why he wasn't in the game and Mourning turned around and responded angrily.

When fans seated nearby stood up and got involved in the taunting, security personnel arrived on the scene to ask them to sit down. A couple of fans were ejected and Harris was moved to another area of the arena.
