It's the time of the year again...the dreaded circus trip out west. To make things worse about the trip, we'll open up with the "Texas Triangle".
At least we'll be leading off in a very winnable game IMHO. Lets keep it going, Bullies!

Unlucky 1st Quarter, but still very sloppy.
Battier hit three 3's
Scola had an obvious charge where the ref underneath called a charge and was overturned by a ref from up top for some reason due to the ref up top saying Rose was in the circle...replays showed he clearly wasn't
Lou went to the rim and wound up blocking his own shot because he was absolutely hammered....could be a long night from the refs and the Rockets won't make it any easier

GREAT 2nd Quarter!!!!
Turns out Korver made the trip and has played great! Thibs allowed Deng to stay in the game with the 2nd unit, which really helped. This allowed Thibs to play Brewer next to Korver to give Lou a blow for the rest of the half. Brewer is just flying all over the floor on both ends...this is the guy the Bulls envisioned when they gave Brewer 12 mil- what a 2nd quarter by Ronnie!
The Rockets lack of depth due to injuries really hurt them in that 2nd quarter- I still think they're a good basketball team (very well coached at that) and will give the Bulls all they can handle this 2nd half. The Bulls need to help Taj with Scola and leave Lowry and Battier all day long and make those guys make jumpers. Battier cooled off big time in the 2nd quarter and Houston had no offense.

You really can't finish a 3rd Quarter any worse than the Bulls just did. 11-0 run by the Rockets.
Martin wasn't even trying to score, but trying to draw a foul. Martin has been ice cold, but knows how to get to the line and that's what good scorers do.
Rose picked up two quick fouls in the 3rd and had to be pulled with just under minutes left...that killed the Bullies. Taj isn't hitting his jumper and needs to keep it in his pocket from here on out.
Hopefully the Bulls can get off to a quick start here in the 4th or they'll be staring an 0-1 record for this circus trip right in the face.
