i have never done any fantasy leagues at all what does it intail? what does it require.

Basically, you draft a team of real NFL/NBA/MLB players and try to amass the best stats based on their performances each week. You play a different opponent each week, and the top 6 teams or so (varies based on the league settings) go to the playoffs. Scoring can vary, just check the league settings to see the categories and/or point values. You can also trade, cut, or add players from free agency or waivers. You basically manage the teams.

Football is a little different because it's points earned based on performance, whereas other spots have multiple categories. You earn a certain number of points for various accomplishments, like 6 points for a rushing/receiving/return touchdown or 1 point for every 20 yards gained by a runningback or receiver.
