Well, three of those guys have to go. My guess is Schenscher and at least one of Miles and Banks, possibly both. Basden could be gone as well.

I'm as upset as you. I guess Pax really wanted those 2 second round picks back... More so it was the only way to get Griffin who he obviously wanted badly. It appears Pax really wants some strong, quality veterans to go around his young nucleus. You really cna't blame him for that. I also think he feels that from talking to Smith that he just wasn't the right fit for this club. I will say this, the Nuggets got the more talented player but Pax obviously didn't want him. |

Not to sound like Hawk here, but where would JR have played?! Clearly the Bulls are very high of Sefalosha and as such, JR Smith is the 5th guard in the backcourt. And there is no way a 20 year old with a questionable attitude is getting past Noc or Deng in the lineup. I like this move for one major reason, it shows that Pax understands the way championship teams are built. If you put too many guys on the same team that want the ball, it leads to chemistry problems because there arent enough shots to go around. Pax is creating a good mix of players that can score with players that defend and get after it like crazy. No Adrian Griffin is not a star, but he is a blue collar player that good teams in the NBA need. Sorry to see JR go because he has loads of potential, but I'm very happy with the direction of this team. |

Stats don't win games, hell it isn't even always talent that wins games. Its guys knowing how to play the game and maximize their abilities. |

Adrian Griffin should of stayed with the Mavs. i think that it was a good move because they get a vetern that can lead the team and also help out some of our young core. so they have P.J. and Wallace for the young centers and they have griffen and Howard Eisley for the young guards. it was a good move and we will get better from it. Excellent post. People you have to quit thinking in terms of just statistics. Stats don't win games, hell it isn't even always talent that wins games. Its guys knowing how to play the game and maximize their abilities. Exactly look what we did when AD was here he gave us leadership and he helped the team out. and did not have that much talent like some of these other players but he was good in his own way. |

So, we have different opinions on this. To me, i hate this trade and signing of Griffin.

So, we have different opinions on this. To me, i hate this trade and signing of Griffin. QUOTE Adrian Griffin has signed a three-year contract with the Bulls. In order to make room for the defensive specialist (and former Bull) Chicago has reportedly traded shooting guard J.R. Smith to the Nuggets for guard Howard Eisley and two future second-round picks. Smith, recently acquired from the Hornets, won't take a physical until Wednesday, which is when that part of the deal should be finalized. Eisley will be waived to make room for Griffin. This is another smart move for the Bulls because they won't have to deal with Smith's immaturity and Griffin is a savvy, blue collar type of player. Think Rotoworld got it down good.... |

Here's how depth chart ought to break down
Active roster (12 players) Hinrich/Duhon/Thabo Gordon/Thabo/Griffin Deng/Noc/Tyrus PJ/Sweets/Tyrus Wallace/PJ/Malik 3 inactive roster spots: Khryapa Schensher/Pasolic (we need to have 1 7fter on the roster) Basden (IF his contract is guaranteed, which i think it is. Otherwise this will be banks or miles bc if we get a PG injury we will need someone) I have no doubt miles will be on an nba roster opening night, but i dont know that it will be ours |
